A. Responsibilities
Â
- Develop websites based on needs analysis and scope of work;
- Develop the necessary back-end database and necessary SQL calls for the applications;
- Deploying applications;
- Provide consultation about various aspects of website construction;
- Continued maintenance, development, and bug fixes for applications through the use of content management systems and customization on an as-need basis;
- Perform ad-hoc site updates on existing websites when required by clients;
- Document the website code and applications

B. Qualifications
Â
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the related field.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with any of the following discipline: computer science, information systems, or engineering
- Extensive experience in SOAP and XML is a must
- Extensive hands-on experience in Yii framework
- Extensive knowledge in web services and backend technologies (PERL, Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
- Spidering/Scraping of web pages
- Can manage project timelines and deliver work on schedule;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Attention to detail, client-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving;
- Quick learner - self-motivated and able to multi task on multiple projects simultaneously;
- Works well under pressure and deadlines;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Abreast with new developments in web development software packages as well as those in the World Wide Web and related technologies.

Business Development Officer

Job Summary
- Philscan is planning on an expansion in the next 1-3 years and the business development officer will be the turntable of this expansion. We will focus on growing our client base significantly both locally and internationally and the BD Officer will be responsible for mapping, planning, generating and actively working on turning relevant leads into customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and lead generation to identify target clients and industries (local and international)
- Obtain customer information to validate leads and contacts
- Maintain and update active client list and sales plan
- Handle online inquiries from web marketing efforts
- Explain products or services and prices, and answer questions from customers
- Establish and manage accounts from personal network
- Assist in establishing and managing key accounts
- Conduct client surveys and evaluations
- Follow up on campaigns
Education Attainment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Mass Communications, Psychology or equivalent
Work Experience
- 3-5 years experience in sales/business development
- Experience in pro-active selling
Special Skills
- Knowledgeable in web services and solutions is an advantage
- Highly fluent in spoken and written English
- Excellent communications skills
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Pro-active and aggressive
